During Monday\u2019s regular trading session, the Dow gained 468.77 points, or 0.92%, reaching both a record close and an all-time intraday high. The S&amp;P 500 advanced 1.65%, and the Nasdaq Composite surged 3.07%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asian markets showed mixed performance. Japan\u2019s Nikkei 225 touched a record intraday high, while the Topix edged down 0.20%. South Korea\u2019s Kospi rose 1.98%, although the smaller Kosdaq index fell 1.55%. Hong Kong\u2019s Hang Seng Index declined 1.25%, while China\u2019s CSI 300 posted a modest gain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Market sentiment improved after President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. and Iran had reached a deal to end the conflict in the Middle East. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said both sides had agreed to cease military operations, with a formal signing ceremony scheduled for Friday in Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreement is also expected to reopen the Strait of Hormuz on Friday, helping push oil prices down nearly 5% on Monday.
